About eNigel
The idea behind eNigel was to improve access to the various IT systems that British Airways pilots use day to day and present the information in a more pilot friendly format.
The software behind eNigel has been developed over 2 years and is continually evolving to take advantage of new information (eg eMaestro), new technology (eg iPads) and to keep up with changes and updates to BA's systems.
There's always new ideas in the pipeline for new apps or tweaks and changes to existing apps. If you think of something you'd like to see in one of the apps, or if you've got an idea for a new app then contact me. I'm always keen on feedback and ideas!
Who owns eNigel?
eNigel is owned and run by Andy Kirkland (C77L) through AK Web Solutions Ltd. I've been employed by British Airways since 2000 flying the 737 at LGW and the 747-400 and 777 at LHR. Prior to my flying career I studied electronic engineering and software engineering at Birmingham University.
When not flying or hammering away at a computer keyboard I spend as much time as possible with my family and try and squeeze in the odd triathlon or bit of off-piste skiing.
Can I trust you with my data/money/ESS login details?
eNigel is run by AK Web Solutions Ltd. which is solely owned by Andy Kirkland, a British Airways pilot. The company is registered with Companies House in England, registration number 08242692 and is registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZA007128.
Data security and privacy are of prime importance and all steps are taken to ensure that all data transfer, processing and storage are carried out within the realms of the Data Protection Act 1998 and British Airways internal policies EG801, EG802, EG803 and FAN 49/13.
All financial transactions are carried out at present using PayPal and as such AK Web Solutions Ltd. does not have any access to your payment details (e.g credit card or bank details).
